Gray Zone Warfare dev admits hardcore FPS “wasn’t flawless,” but has big plans

Gray Zone Warfare was one of the biggest FPS surprises of last year. A fresh take on the extraction shooter genre that was pioneered by Escape From Tarkov and Hunt Showdown, it exploded on Steam, sold a million copies, and jumped up the ratings thanks to some transformative updates. Delta Force has since arrived on the scene. The likes of Ready Or Not and Battlefield are also competing for the tactical, realistic FPS crown. But the team behind Gray Zone Warfare has some big plans. Its freshman year wasn’t perfect, the developer admits, but 2025 holds a lot of promise.
