7 MMOs To Look Forward To In 2024

2024 could shape up to be a great year for MMO and MMORPG players. There are quite a few significant games that should be making their debut in 2024, and many of those are coming in highly anticipated. Here's out list of the top 7 MMOs and MMORPGs you should be looking forward to in 2024.

Throne And Liberty

Coming over from the East and being published by Amazon Games Studio, Throne and Liberty has seen some updates to combat and other elements based on player feedback. Making combat less static and turning off the auto-battler for the Western release has put T&L back in the running for the most anticipated MMORPG of 2024.

Pax Dei

Developed by Mainframe Industries, Pax Dei made its teaser debut with a gorgeous trailer earlier this year. Pax Dei instantly caught the attention of MMORPG players. While we don't have a confirmed release date, players remain hopeful that Pax Dei will be released sometime in 2024.

Blue Protocol

Another game published by Amazon Games, the anime adventure online action RPG Blue Protocol is set to debut in 2024 with a lot of interest from MMO players. The fast-paced combat looks exciting and the art style is sure to excite many anime fans. Blue Protocol promises dynamic action combat and deep character customization to players.

Chrono Odyssey

South Korean developer NPixel is working on a "Next-Gen" MMORPG titled Chrono Odyssey. The game will be cross-platform on PC, console, and mobile, bringing the action to wherever you prefer to play. 

Nightingale

A gaslamp survival shared-world game where you venture between worlds using magical portals, Nightingale has been high on my list of upcoming games for quite some time. Master Realmwalking and travel between dimensions as you fight to survive in a universe full of variety and mystery. Early Access begins February 22nd, 2024.

Dune: Awakening

Another survival-based MMO, Dune: Awakening promises a large shared world where players will roam the planet of Arrakis with all of the social interactivity of a large, persistent multiplayer game. Dune: Awakening is being developed by Funcom, the team behind the acclaimed survival MMO Conan: Exiles.

Soulframe

Soulframe could end up being your MMORPG main event of the year as the team behind Warframe looks to bring life to a much more fantasy-centric world of dynamic melee combat. Warframe is famous for its free-to-play model and the fairness of said model, so there's no reason to think Soulframe won't see the same model with the same success.
