Abyss Online is granting early access to their alpha version for a thousand people throughout the month, and you can sign up to be one of them right here.

Abyss is an upcoming (buy-to-play) PvP sandbox MMORPG. Abyss Online has a dynamic open world that blends fantasy and science fiction. The game’s lore revolves around mysterious interdimensional gates that have emerged, unsettling the equilibrium of the universe. These gates introduce novel elements from diverse worlds and eras, leading adventurers to explore lush forests, towering mountains, and desolate wastelands.

Abyss Online initially raised concerns as it appeared to be selling in-game gold for cash even before its release, which is typically associated with pay-to-win mechanics. Additionally, the game's similarity to a previous NFT-related project called MetaGates.io raised questions about the shift in focus and the removal of blockchain elements.

However, due to the limitations and negative culture in the crypto industry, they decided to remove blockchain elements from the game to gain players' trust, and gold in the game is intended for cosmetic and subscription-based purchases, not in-game advantages.
