Black Desert Is Finally Getting Builds For The Current Gen Of Consoles

Finally, Black Desert Console players on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S can look forward to dedicated builds of the MMORPG for their platform of choice. Pearl Abyss is working on the new builds, which will be made available to current Black Desert Console players for free.

The game’s General Manager offered players details on the project in a Developer Commentary video, including future plans. According to the video, the PS5 version has completed internal development and is progressing toward platform certification. The Xbox Series X version is taking a bit longer, but both builds are expected in the first half of 2025. An FAQ with more information will be made available in the near future.

In additional news, Pearl Abyss announced several updates that will be dropped on December 12. One of these is Kharazad Accessories, a new upgradeable item set crafted using Deboreka accessories and a new material found in the Land of the Morning Light Monster zones. To accompany that, a new Accessory Exchange System for the Deboreka accessory set is being added.

Finally, a series of daily rewards and special events will kick off on December 12. These will run until March 2025 and offer players all kinds of buffs – several different variants of EXP buffs ranging from 50% to 500%. (No. That’s not a typo.)
