Eve Online players wondering what to expect in the coming year will want to read the 2024 and Beyond Director’s Letter, posted on the MMORPG’s site today. As with a lot of these letters, the first portion of the letter focuses on what the team achieved last year. If you take a peek at the old roadmap in the post, everything is stamped “Delivered”. There was quite a bit, but considering 2023 was the game’s 20th anniversary, that’s pretty normal.
The 2024 roadmap has fewer individual items on it, but that’s not to say that there’s not plenty to look forward to – particularly since two of the items listed are the summer and winter expansions. Leading into the summer expansion, players can expect new technology and resources to be introduced. These will offer players the chance to build and customize their own space in nullsec – space that can be attacked and must be defended.
Speaking of customizing, SKINR is being extended to ships. That means players will be able to make their ships unique. Change colors, emblems, and more to make your ships look just the way you want.
Eve Vanguard was also addressed in the letter. In this case, a six-month roadmap was shared, detailing six playtests and everything players can expect to happen through June. That includes a new map in June.
