Conquer Lost Ark's Toughest Raid Yet As The "Darkness Unleashed" Update Launches Today

Today, the "Darkness Unleashed" update for Lost Ark, well, unleashes. 

This patch introduces the 8-player Thaemine Legion Raid, the MMORPG’s toughest one yet. Players must confront Thaemine, the Legion Commander of Darkness, who has summoned his fortress — the Dark Baratron — amidst the ongoing conflict between Light and Darkness. The entry requirement is item levels 1610 for Normal and 1630 for Hard difficulty.

Also, the Thaemine The First event starts on April 20. This offers players a chance to participate in a special race to clear the original version of the Thaemine Legion Raid.

The update brings a new progression system as well, called Transcendence; it allows players to enhance their gear's basic effects by tapping into ancient power sealed within ruins. That means increased damage and defense, along with special abilities for both DPS and Support playstyles. 

Last but not least, players can take on the Veskal Guardian Raid — a 1630-level challenge. Veskal, a Chaos Guardian utilizing sound waves as weapons, must be conquered in order to prevent the devastation of Arkesia. Completion leads to daily rewards, including higher-level Fate Embers and the chance to obtain the Purification Level 1 Legendary Galewind Rune.
