What’s a post-apocalypse without vehicles that walk? A whole lot less interesting. After all, everyone wants their own mech at the downfall of humanity. Promises were made!
In the case of Gaijin Entertainment’s post-apocalyptic shooter game Crossout, those promises were kept. Okay, they might not have been the ones that promised us mech fighting at the end of the world, but it looks like they’re on their way to giving it to players. If nothing else, they’ve added a new type of chassis to the game for players to use when assembling their combat vehicles. Specifically, bipedal legs have been added. Now your vehicle can stand upright and walk.
Unfortunately, vehicles using this chassis can’t be used in every mode. They’re restricted to modes with armored aircraft. These modes are being updated to be even wilder than before so that might be where players want to spend their time anyway. Maybe they’ll add arms at some point and players can build vehicles that can swat the armored aircraft out of the air.
