Time flies and we are just a bit over a week away from the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in London. Things will kick off on October 21 at 10:00 BST (5:00 AM EDT). As with other events, this one will kick off with a keynote address from YoshiP that will last until 11:30 BST. Since this event is taking place in London, there will be live English translations. This is where more (if any) news about the Dawntrail expansion will pop up.
Following the keynote will be the opening ceremony and then a development panel. After that, it’ll be a bit of fun and games with things like Who Wants to be a Gillionare?, the Naoki’s Room panel with gues Hironobu Sakaguchi, and a concert.
Day too will kick off with Hironobu Sakaguchi joining Yoshi-P to talk Final Fantasy bosses. From there it will continue on to the Crystalline Conflict Championships followed by the Cosplay Walk, the Cheering Choice game, and finally, the obligatory The Primals concert.
If you’re planning on attending the convention, there’s a good bit of information on the Fan Fest site. This includes everything from event registration to accessibility guidance for attendees with disabilities.
On an additional note, Square Enix is still busy celebrating the game’s 10th anniversary. Part of that apparently includes making a 1/180 scale model of U’ldah. Pictures of the diorama can be seen on the Final Fantasy XIV site. There’s also a video below.
