MMOBOMB
Dec 19, 2024
Starting tomorrow – after approximately two hours of downtime – Pax Dei players will be able to take their first step towards accumulating glorious wealth. Well, at least they’ll be able to buy and sell things for gold. With the launch of “Verse 2: Market Square”, Mainframe is implementing the MMORPG’s economy.
The update will introduce gold coins as the game’s universal currency. This is the first step in the dev's plans for the economy. The coins are earned in the normal way – looting NPCs. Of course, they can be traded to other players for goods via the market stall. Players will be able to set up trade hubs and explore markets. Importantly, the market does have a filter function to make finding things easy.
While this should get things rolling, it’s important to note that the “Grace” feature teased a while back won’t be rolling out until sometime next year.
There’s more good news about the update. Not only is it implementing economy features, but also adds French and German localization. In addition, combat is being adjusted, character customization is receiving some updates, and Discord is being integrated. Full details on these new features can be found on the Pax Dei Steam page.
