HoYoverse announced the launch date for Genshin Impact’s next update Version 4.5 “Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade” today. When the update arrives on March 13, it will introduce not only a new playable character but also a new seasonal event, “Alchemical Ascension” in which players will help the Knights of Favonius and Lisa with an alchemical potion shop. Meet up with old friends, strike deals, and expand the business. In exchange, players are rewarded with a new 4-star polearm.

The game's new character, Chiori, is a fashion designer from Inazuma and the owner of Fontaine’s Chioriya Boutique. She’s a 5-star Geo user who fights with a sword. In combat, she’s aided by an automaton doll “Tamoto”. Chiori also boasts an ability to increase party Movement Speed by 10%.
