The Dragonslayer Challenge is a PvE challenge in which the top two speedrunning guilds will compete against each other. It will take place over two days beginning June 8. On the first day, they will create fresh characters and head into the Cataclysm dungeons to acquire gear. On June 9, both teams will attempt to clear three Cataclysm raids: Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds, and Blackwing Descent. The winning team will walk away with the bulk of a $50,00 prize pool.
For the PvP enjoyers, the Cataclysm Arena Tournament will take place June 14 – June 16. The first two days will have the top 16 teams competing for a spot in the finals. June 14 will will focus on the top eight European teams while June 15 will be dedicated to the top eight teams from the Americas. As with the Dragonslayer Challenge, this tournament has a $50,000 prize pool. However, the pool is split between both regions.
