Leaked footage showcasing parkour gameplay from the upcoming Skate reboot has emerged online. This footage, originating from ongoing playtests conducted by EA, reveals the expanded movement options that the sports game appears to offer. While previous titles in the Skate series allowed players to dismount their skateboards and explore the environment on foot, this new gameplay suggests a deeper focus on these mechanics.

Currently, the game is undergoing playtesting on PC, with the possibility of console playtests on the horizon. EA reassured console players that they have not been forgotten and that console playtesting will be introduced in due course. The company did not specify a release date for the console playtest but encouraged players to stay tuned for updates. Skate will be free-to-play and supports cross-play and cross-progression across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
