Do you like masquerading around in DC Universe Online as legendary heroes and villains but don't want to pay the price for Legends avatars? Queue it up now, baby. All Legends are free for the next week starting today. This also unlocks all Legends PvE maps at no additional cost. You can check them all out until August 26th.
What the hell is a "Legends" avatar or "Legends PvE" map? In the MMORPG, there's a bit of PvE content (well, there's Legends PvP too, but this event is specific to PvE) that allows users to slap on Legends skins bought from Legends vendors and the game's marketplace. You can run specific Legends PvE alerts and raids using your favorite avatar, as long as they aren't an NPC in the instance.
Running these special PvE events rewards "Marks of Legends" that can be spent on other Legends avatars, some of them may require you be a "member" (subscriber), though. Legends PvE has its own set of feats, too. The event is actually giving you a 10x bonus towards your completion of these feats.
Should you like an avatar enough to want to buy it, you can grab it at a 20% discount during the free week.
