MMOBOMB
May 03, 2024
Nexon’s 2D MMO MapleStory has been kicking around for nineteen years. At almost two decades of cute adventure, the game is still rolling along, giving players plenty to do. In celebration of that fact, players are getting even more to do in the form of events. There are a total of 25 events listed on the MMO's patch notes, ranging from Mayple Island to a new event named “A Mysterious Invitation”. MapleStory players will be busy for a while.
However, if that’s somehow not enough new content, there is one other important thing that was added, a new playable class: Forest Child Lynn. This is a rework of Beast Tamer and features new graphics, skill animations, and a reworked system. Of course, she comes with a related event, players will need a Lynn character over level 101 to participate. Full details on Forest Child Lynn and all those events are available in the patch notes on the Maple Story Site.
All of this was revealed last week, but the reveal was soured a bit by a planned stream celebrating the game's first level 300 player turned into a protest statement aimed at how Nexon has been managing the title.
