Yes, there's a lot of genres in that headline. However, it's really the best way to explain what's going on with SUPERVIVE. Take a battle royale, add in some hero shooter aspects like roles, then cap it all off with a MOBA-like control scheme and isometric camera. Good thing Theorycraft Games has some vets of titles like League of Legends and Overwatch on the case.
If the colorful mashup of games sounds like something you'd want to try and you missed out on the previous open beta, then next week you'll get another chance. SUPERVIVE will hold a free-to-play 24/7 public playtest starting on October 14th. This Steam Nest Fest event will run for a full week, ending on October 21st. Unless the team has server issues they need to work out, don't expect the game to go down and you won't have to work around specific playtest hours this time.
Since open beta, Theorycraft Games has been adding voice acting, a ton of cosmetics, and has even decided to experiment with a few gameplay options. That may seem risky given the team's target release of later this year, but hey, when you're trying to mix things up, I'm sure the tendency to keep mixing stays with you.
Matches in SUPERVIVE are a 40-player affair, allow revives, and there's a number of "side things" to be doing during a match like picking locks and cooking. Yes, cooking. There's also a 4v4 mode if you're just looking for a little deathmatch fun.
Head to the SUPERVIVE Steam page to wishlist the title ahead of the test. SUPERVIVE is expected to be F2P at launch, too.
