MMOBOMB
Sep 05, 2024
As we all know, it’s a bit difficult to find something that really is different from every other offering out there when it comes to first-person shooter games. It seems like Mountaintop Studio is actually onto something with their new offering, Spectre Divide, which is now available to players on Steam for free.
The 3v3 shooter launched on Valve’s platform today, offering players something unique in its “Duality” mechanic which allows them to control two bodies on the map – their main body and a second body called a “Spectre”. The latter can be placed in strategically useful locations, with the player able to swap between it and the main body on the fly. This will allow them to defend multiple sites, cover themselves, and more. Even more, if a player’s main body goes down, their Spectre will remain, giving them more uptime.
As mentioned, the game is available to play for free via Steam. That said, Mountaintop is selling a $70 Founder’s Pac and a $40 Supporter pack. Ethos is already working on our First Look video.
