There's something to be said for building your own society in a videogame. Starting from nothing, you place very shack, mine every resource, and come to know every citizen. I'm a real sucker for when this involves an awful lot of history, though, which is why Romestead has caught my attention. The survival town builder boasts cozy pixel art, Stardew Valley stylings, and even what looks like some Manor Lords strategy.
