MMOBOMB
Mar 21, 2024
A few weeks back Kakao dropped their Q4 2023 investor report, and apparently, there was a little nugget in there we all missed. As pointed out by MassivelyOP, ArcheAge 2 has been delayed yet again.
That's right, after being delayed to the latter part of 2024, it looks like ArcheAge 2 has been delayed again until 2025 or beyond. The schedule simply reads "Post 25", which could even mean 2026. That's gotta hurt if you've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the sandpark sequel MMORPG.
The wait just got a bit longer for those looking forward to ArcheAge 2, but let's be honest, with the monetization of the original ArcheAge aren't we all a little worried how the sequel is going to turn out? Labor systems, pay-to-win, and restrictive systems could all very well be in ArcheAge 2 and Kakao has done little to dissuade that notion.
For now, we just play the waiting game and hope for the best. With the game not coming in 2024 it would be surprising to hear much new news from Kakao about ArcheAge 2 until next year at the earliest.
