Anyone hoping to play Pocketpair’s Palworld on something other than PC or Xbox may be in luck. According to a Bloomberg interview with the company’s CEO Takuro Mizobe, they’re currently looking into bringing the game to other platforms – although which platforms have not been specified. That’s likely because they’re looking into bringing it to as many as possible.
On another note, Mizobe also said that the company will “consider offers for partnership or acquisition” although they haven’t spoken with Microsoft about it and they’re “content to remain an independent studio” with a small team.
Mizobe, who owns the company, believes small studios are doing the most pioneering in the game industry. That said, he isn’t sure they can replicate their success with Palworld on another game. They’re not planning on spending a ton of money on the company itself, avoiding things like fancy officers or over-hiring more staff.
