Today, Omeda Studios announced the upcoming release of the 1.4x update for their F2P MOBA, Predecessor. Among other things, the update will merge the current East and West US servers into centralized servers in an effort to reduce queue times for ranked play. More specifically, it will throw more players into the same pool together, making it easier to form parties.
The press release doesn’t state what, if any, impact this will have on latency for players. However, Omeda Studios CEO Robbie Singh does note that the devs are “always reviewing [their] server setup to ensure that players around the world get the best possible experience”. If it causes problems, they should be quick about fixing it. Singh also states that the team will have “more exciting news to share for other parts of the Americas very soon”.
In the meantime, 1.4.5 arrives on April 8th with more balancing updates following a previous large round of balancing.
