MMOBOMB
Jun 29, 2024
Back when Neverwinter launched in 2013, the MMORPG included an adventure zone in Mount Hotenow. The adventure zone was vaulted about 3 years ago, making it inaccessible to players. That zone is making a come back in a completely revamped and reimagined way in the next module "Mountain of Flame", launching on both PC and consoles on July 16th. The zone will be both bigger and more populated than players may remember.
Once again, Mount Hotenow is on the brink of an eruption. This usually doesn't bode well in the D&D universe. If you don't want to see the entire Sword Coast under magma and ash, you'll need to head in and stop Gommoth from awakening the sleeping Primordial under the volcano.
Unvaulting Mount Hotenow also means the unvaulting of the Lair of the Mad Dragon dungeon. While the zone itself gets a full rework, the dungeon will be back in its classic form, but will have all monsters and bosses reshaped a bit. It will also feature Normal, Advanced, and Master difficulty levels.
Guilds get a bit of love in Mountain of Flame, too. The Guild Logs will record more of what players are doing, renaming the guild (or alliance) is now easier, and you can make bulk donations to the coffer (finally).
There's also a few additional, smaller changes that you can read about on the official announcement.
