The best of the last-gen Nvidia gaming GPUs, including the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, will be out of stock completely by the end of January. A new industry leak claims that graphics cards from the RTX 4070 upwards will no longer have available stock from the end of January, leaving gamers looking to buy a new card with fewer available options.
It’s no surprise that Nvidia has been shifting its production efforts to cards like the RTX 5090, already likely to be the best graphics card that money can buy once it hits retailer’s shelves. However, while the GPU maker has a particularly dominant position, it isn’t immune to challenges from both Intel and AMD, and a stock clearout gives the RTX 50-series GPUs a cleaner run without being challenged internally by an older product line.
