In a director's letter, Challengers Games CEO and Second Wave Producer Tamura Koji addressed the conclusion of the beta test for the upcoming hero-based shooter.
The beta test ran from October 6 to October 16, and he expressed gratitude to all the participants for their feedback and support. Koji emphasized the value of player input, which had significantly influenced the game's development. According to him, there were a total of 37,442 matches played and 18,991 active players.
While there were many challenges during the beta, including matchmaking issues and technical problems, he acknowledged these issues and stated the development team's commitment to addressing them. Also, the letter included an apology for splitting the matchmaking pool between Eastern and Western North America, leading to latency issues.
Koji outlined the development team's plans for the upcoming second beta test, which includes addressing technical issues, improving game modes, introducing features like Training Grounds, Custom Matches, and Bots/AI Matches, enhancing game controls, and improving hit feedback and sound quality. He concluded the letter by promising to do better in the next beta, pledging to uphold the developer-player relationship and earn players' trust through delivering on their promises. The exact date for the next beta was not provided.
