MY.GAMES has announced the rebranding of Warface to Warface: Clutch.
"Our inspiration for the name came from the fact that in games and sports there are moments of pressure where you are required to summon strength, concentration and grit to make that match-defining play,” said Timur Suzi, the executive producer for the publisher/developer. “This is what we want our players to experience, their moves, their strategy and their reflexes define matches."
He concluded: "Frantic gameplay with a competitive edge, that’s what Clutch is about."
This rebranding is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the overall game experience of the shooter. MY.GAMES has been working to align content and patches between the PC and console versions of Warface: Clutch. Changes have been made to events, including seasonal and game-related events, and the battle pass can now be purchased using “soft currency” in addition to real money.
The development team is also expanding to deliver updates, with new features such as a ranked matches system, weapons, and updates to the game's contract system. Further, MY.GAMES has decided to split Warface into two separate titles, with Warface: Clutch intended for a global audience and independently developed and published by the company.
Before the end of the year, a substantial update is planned for the game — which is free to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
