Coming fresh off a a Steam Next Fest demo, Delta Force likes the way that things went. They liked it so much, they're dropping the date for the tactical shooter's PC launch, and the date's earlier than they originally planned. What was previously being dubbed "early access" is now being called a "Global Open Beta" and it'll start on December 5th on PC via the team's launcher, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Despite changing the name, this isn't a "new" phase. The open beta is taking the place of the previously advertised early access and the beta will feature all planned launch features and no more account wipes or resets will take place.
On the magic date, players will see the addition of the game's 8th Operator, new gameplay modes, and new maps in both Warfare and Operations battlegrounds modes. You'll also have access to cosmetics, battle passes, and other paid offerings. Sadly, PC controller support isn't going to make the launch, but it is being worked on for a future update. Speaking of controllers, consoles and mobile devices won't see the game until Q1 2025.
"We’re thrilled to wrap up Steam Next Fest with a bang! On behalf of the entire team, we want to say a huge THANK YOU!” said Shadow Guo, Game Director of Delta Force.
You can wishlist the F2P game on Steam now.
