Christmas is right around the corner, and Twinightmare is waiting behind the next one.
The new season for Torchlight: Infinite launches on December 28 at 6 PM (PST). The game's expansion introduces Rosa, the High Court Chariot, as the game's tenth playable hero. Rosa boasts high defensive capabilities and a unique Holy Domain Skill, transforming her into an unstoppable chariot. The update also includes four new skills for other heroes: Whirlwind Blade, Lightning Beam, Star Stalker, and Harmonious Field, allowing for further customization of character builds.
Twinightmare takes players into the realm of dreams, with Dream Lotuses scattered throughout the maps. Interacting with these lotuses can spawn Good Dreams, where defeating Dream Monsters yields rewards. However, entering a Good Dream poses the risk of a Nightmare attack, with the difficulty increasing based on accumulated loot. To aid players, a new Season Talent Panel can be upgraded to improve their chances of overcoming Nightmares.
The update also brings various quality of life improvements, including a revamped Help Manual and smoother looting UX.
In addition to the gameplay enhancements, XD Games is introducing a Winter Festival in Torchlight: Infinite. The festive event, set in a snow-covered Torchlight Hideout, offers exclusive drops like Snowflake — which can be exchanged for rewards, including Legendary Gear and Avatars. Looking ahead to 2024, the Spring Festival will coincide with the Lunar New Year, featuring time-limited tasks and lantern rewards for players. The festivities include a Gacha Event, introducing the Dancing Red Dragon outfit.
