Tomorrow, Blizzard is bringing back the Winter Wonderland event to Overwatch 2.
The holiday-themed festivities include three event modes in the shooter's Arcade: Mei's Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Freeze-Flash Elimination. Winter Wonderland introduces the Winter Fair Event Pass too. By playing games, players earn tickets to spend at the Winter Fair — with wins counting as double. The free track allows players to redeem tickets for a free legendary skin of their choice, while the premium track (for 500 Overwatch Coins) offers additional bonus tickets and the chance to unlock up to three legendary skins and other cosmetic items.
(Any remaining unspent tickets will convert to Overwatch Credits after January 15.)
In addition to the event modes and rewards, Overwatch 2 players can celebrate the season with new skins available in the in-game shop, including Formalwear Legendary skins for Tracer and Sojourn, holiday remixes, and Jingle Belle Mercy. Also, players who log in starting December 19 will receive a special player icon.
Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made. This case has been settled for $54 million.
