MMOBOMB
Dec 04, 2023
Throne and Liberty allows you to equip two weapons at once, making your build more versatile or more synergistic. To help make swapping weapons easier, the MMORPG includes a system that allows you to set up your action bar with abilities from both weapons, which swaps the weapons automatically on use.
In the first row are the active abilities from weapon 1 (left column) and the passive abilities from weapon 1 (right column). The second row in the middle is the active and passive abilities from weapon 2. The third row at the bottom is where you can slot any of the active abilities from those weapons (12 slots) to your action bar, and also slot passive abilities from either weapon (8 slots) that will be active no matter which weapon is equipped. Each weapon has one defensive skill (far left), and you'll have to choose one to use.
You can add and remove abilities from your equipped weapons to change out your build, and if you change weapons you'll need to redo the abilities on your action bar.
This system allows you to select 12 active skills and 8 passive skills mixed from the two weapons you have equipped. Your character will automatically switch weapons when using a skill from the other weapon. It looks like a pretty neat system that keeps players from having to manually switch weapons during combat and should help make for a smoother combat experience.
Weather also plays a big role in Throne and Liberty. Different weather conditions or the time of day can affect what creatures you can hunt, how much damage they can take, or what areas you can visit. Also, longbow and crossbow abilities can be affected by things like wind direction.
A few players on each server will have long cooldown abilities that allow them to change the weather or produce an eclipse. Only the "best players" will have this ability, whatever that means.
All in all, these look like some cool systems, and Throne and Liberty has really rekindled my interest in the game with the latest information that has been coming out about it.
You can watch the video about all of this information below. (And a "thank you" nod to Throne and Liberty Online for the translation help!)
