Fellow vampires, today V Rising makes the dark leap from PC to consoles as the vampire survival game officially releases on the PlayStation 5. Stunlock Studios brings 3 versions of the title to Sony's system with a $39.99 base edition, a $59.98 Castlevania Edition adding the Legacy of Castlevania DLC to the base game, and a $99.99 "Complete" edition that scores you the base game, the Castlevania DLC, and 3 other currently available DLC packs.
Similar to other survival games, V Rising tasks you with exploring a large map and finding a good spot to call home. Build your castle and customize it with new features, cosmetics, and more as you roam the wilds in search of targets that will help you gain abilities. It's all about the blood, of course. Find your marks and drink from them, become stronger, and maybe even take on the big man himself. That's right, Dracula's waiting.
Hell, the Castlevania DLC, in addition to adding a ton of Castlevania-themed building items and music, even allows you to take on the legendary vampire killer himself, Simon Belmont.
With a "Very Positive" rating on Steam, the game should do rather well on consoles and the implementation of controller support for the PlayStation 5 has been a blessing for many on the PC, too.
Check out the fantastic launch trailer below, with a great nod to Castlevania at the end (that music, man...) There's a list of all the launch features on the V Rising website. Check it out while you're downloading.
