Here’s one last Deep Dive before Operation Overhaul comes to Deceive Inc.
Addressing player feedback regarding underutilized vault areas, the developers are introducing a new gameflow element called Vault Printers. Instead of opening golden doors with 10 Intel, players now require a golden keycard obtained from hidden keycard printers within the vault area. Starting a print costs 10 Intel and takes 30 seconds, during which nearby spies are alerted. This addition aims to enhance gameplay interaction by allowing strategy around protecting printers, or setting up ambushes for rivals.
Also, AI spies — or "spy bots" — are introduced to assist new players in familiarizing themselves with the shooter's mechanics. Initially integrated into solo queues, these bots serve to ease beginners into matches by providing a less daunting experience. The number of AI spies relative to players is higher for novices. While primarily designed for beginner-friendly encounters, AI spies can populate lobbies to maintain engagement and are available for use in private lobbies with the "fill with bots" option.
The developers added that these bots are intentionally less challenging and are subject to further behavioral refinement in future iterations.
Additionally, a "sandbox mode" is introduced in private lobbies — granting players access to all game elements without XP gain. This feature aims to foster community-driven game modes and events.
