Following the decision to maintenance mode the current Evercore Heroes and take the project in a new direction, Vela Games is now ready to give players an idea as to what that direction is. The company published a post on the Evercore Heroes site detailing Project-R (codename).
Their plan is to develop the game with player help, and they are beginning by sharing what they’ve learned from recent discussions with players. The post covers four main topics: team sizes, the tank/support role, maps, and enemy formations and encounters.
Based on their current feedback, the devs are looking at a smaller team as it should have more impact for each player. That said, they won’t be having as many teams in matches as they did in Evercore Heroes. As for tanks, the idea is to make them more than just shields. Support will do more than just heal. They hope to make each role shine and are focused on things like improving aggro, combat strategy, and offering rewards that create more varied builds.
Enemies are getting a good going over as well. They will feature more challenging formations that require players to think more. Finally, maps are being completely remastered to create better play environments.
As mentioned above, all of this is detailed in a post on the Evercore Heroes site if you'd like to check it all out for yourself!
