Look, we're all a little disappointed by Path of Exile 2's early access being delayed by 3 weeks, but hey, at least it's delayed for a good reason for those of you that purchased cosmetics in the original Path of Exile. Speaking of the original game, while we wait for early access to the sequel, let's get a little bit of an update from Grinding Gear Games on the expansion schedule.
Since the team's primary focus has been to get PoE2 out into early access in 2024, the team has decided to push the original title's 3.26 expansion into January. They're currently thinking late January, but they do want to have a little flexibility in that target since launching a totally new title can bring about unintended challenges. This means that the current Settlers of Kalguur league will be extended into 2025.
Delays are never fun, but Grinding Gear is trying to spice things up a little bit. A new event in the Settlers league will kick off on November 7th alongside the league itself. By participating in this event you'll be able to play the Settlers league, in Standard, Hardcore, Solo Self-Found and Solo Self-Found Hardcore, with a fresh economy and a ladder reset. By reaching level 50 in any version of the event you will earn one guaranteed Settlers Mystery box per account. Settlers challenges will also be available.
This event also sees the return of mods on monsters, but this time around every mod will be rewarding. Mods rotate each hour and are the same for all players.
The post linked above includes a full FAQ on the event if you'll be jumping in.
