World of Warcraft players are in for some blasts from the past with the launch of The War Within: Radiant Echoes event today. This event kicks off the MMORPG's Worldsoul Saga and offers players a chance to earn rewards for putting a few memories out of their misery – before they make themselves everyone’s problem.
The event takes place in several zones with Dalaran being the hub. Players level 10 – 70 participate in four different stages, beginning with defeating Congealed Memories and their related memories. The second stage involves defeating the six radiant echoes active in a zone. In Stage 3, players take on a quest in each zone that requires them to defeat one of the event bosses. Finally, in Stage 4, things have quieted down, but players who want to stay in the zone can continue to fight memories in order to obtain more of the event currency: Residual Memories.
Of course, Residual Memories can be exchanged for a selection of rewards. Based on the number of memories required to obtain some items, we suggest sticking around and doing a bit more slaying.
On an additional note, Rise of Zandalari is now live in Cataclysm Classic. The update introduces a new level-85 5-player Heroic Dungeon and plenty of new loot.
