Billie Eilish is the face of Fortnite Festival Season 3, which runs until June 13. Players will be treated to a plethora of musical experiences and get to snag new rewards such as the Green Roots Billie Outfit and music-reactive Ultraviolet Style. Completing Festival Quests earns Festival Points, advancing players through the battle royale's Festival Pass and granting access to items like instruments and jam tracks.
Themed items of the singer-songwriter are available in the in-game shop too, featuring some of her biggest hits as jam tracks and emotes. The shop will continuously update with new items throughout Season 3, including a new Billie Eilish Outfit and jam tracks from her latest album. Also, players with compatible Rock Band 4 guitar controllers can now use them to play Pro Lead and Pro Bass song parts on the Main Stage.
Content creators in the Support-A-Creator program have the opportunity to feature selected jam tracks in their YouTube videos during Season 3 as well, allowing for monetization of content featuring these tracks. They still need to adhere to certain guidelines to avoid copyright claims though. Twitch streamers using selected jam tracks are advised to disable VODs/clips to prevent potential copyright issues.
In other interesting Fortnite news, Metroid's Samus Aran had an appearance scrapped in the game due to Nintendo wanting the famed bounty hunter to be exclusive to the Nintendo version. This was a condition that Epic wasn't willing to roll with according to an interview with Game File that former Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard attended.
But hey, at least you can stop seeing "confrontational emotes" if you wish, thanks to a new setting added.
