Apex Legends is so hot right now.
Season 19 for the FPS battle royale game, titled "Ignite," goes live today. It features a new Legend named Conduit, who uses battery-based skills. Her abilities include a burst of speed when running toward teammates, a tactical ability to regenerate temporary shields for allies, and an ultimate that deploys shield jamming devices to damage and slow enemies.
The season also introduces cross-progression, allowing players to unite their accounts across all platforms. Additionally, there are significant changes to the Storm Point map, with a reduced map size and new points of interest to encourage combat, such as reworked areas like Forbidden Zone and Lightning Rod — as well as new additions like Wattson's Pylon and IMC Armories.
And in terms of map rotation, this season brings the following maps for public matchmaking: Broken Moon, Olympus, and Storm Point, with notable adjustments to the Storm Point map to encourage more combat.
Anti-cheat updates include in-match notifications for banned players, offering more transparency and feedback to the player community. Ranked mode introduces Promotional Trials too, which allow players to enter a trial state when they reach the peak of their tier, focusing on completing specific conditions for promotion.
There’s balance updates and changes to weapons, legends, and maps as well. Additionally, there are quality-of-life enhancements, bug fixes, and audio adjustments, while localized audio is separated from the base game package on PlayStation — requiring additional content downloads for non-English languages.
