Prior to launch, we were hearing from The First Descendant's team almost daily. That makes sense as the looter shooter was trying to up the hype for release. Since then, Nexon has kind of been dropping the ball on player communication. Sure, they've sent out info on patches, but communication directly with players has been lacking.
It seems the team has recognized that and decided to do something about it. Today, the team apologized for their lacking communication and they've committed to being more frequent in how they respond to player feedback.
As a way of kicking that new trend off, the team dropped a rather lengthy list of upcoming changes and additions, all coming as a result of player feedback. There is a ton in the list so I won't cover every item mentioned in the post, but let's hit some of the bigger items. Also, if you don't see a certain bit of feedback on the list, it isn't because they are ignoring your feedback. It could just be because they don't have an in-depth reply at this time. Keep watching.
First, let's talk content. It seems that players want some more "run and gun" or fast-paced gameplay, something like horde modes. The team is working on making current content (like Invasions) more along these lines. Look for travel times to be reduced, too.
This type of "make it faster and less tedious" feedback also extends to farming things, improving existing content, adding new boss mechanics, and more. It's all on the way.
As for general gameplay, the grappling hook could have some changes soon to increase mobility some more, but no specifics were dropped yet. The team suggests playing as Bunny for max mobility.
Oh, since you can now dodge roll away from guided missiles, no, the team isn't going to add any invincibility frames to rolling. However, the team will try to look at better loadout swapping in combat. This one could be challenging, but the team does recognize a need for it to be improved.
Early game will see some reductions in difficulty for new players, too.
This really just scratches the surface, so hit up the post for planned changes to specific weapons, specific events, and so much more.
