It’s been two weeks since Firewalk took Concord offline, and only about a month since the shooter launched in the first place. Things have obviously not gone well, and if the latest reports from Kotaku and Games Industry are any indication, they’re still not.
According to Kotaku, Concord’s game director Ryan Ellis has reportedly stepped down and will be taking on a support role instead. At the same time, Games Industry is reporting that the studio’s future appears to be in question. Some sources are reported to think the studio may become a co-development studio and aid in the development of other Sony projects. Others are concerned that there will be layoffs or that the studio will be closed altogether. None of these options seem unlikely considering how the game industry works.
