You've probably seen those headlines, too. The ones where some Steam key reselling sites include listings for copies of The Day Before for sometimes over $400. You probably don't want to pick those up, even if you were morbidly curious about the zombie survival game clandestinely turned extraction shooter.
Just days after the title launched into early access, developer FNTASTIC announced their closure, but the initial announcement left a question in the air. What was the future of the game itself? FNTASTIC was unsure and publisher MYTONA was already working with Steam to get anyone who wanted one a refund.
Today, the announcement was made and The Day Before will shut down on January 22nd. (We've included an image of the tweet at the end of the article as we fully expect this X (formerly Twitter) account to disappear in the future.)

Steam is also automatically refunding anyone that bought the game, so you won't even have to ask for a refund if you haven't already.
MYTONA also takes the opportunity to thank The Day Before's supporters and to wish you a happy holiday...for whatever that's worth.
