MMOBOMB
Mar 07, 2024
This year, Square Enix is doing something a bit different when it comes to Final Fantasy XIV’s Little Ladies’ Day and Hatching-tide events. Rather than having two separate events in the MMORPG, the developers have decided to kick them off at the same time. Not only will the events share the same dates, but they will have the same quest and reward.
The event quest line can be found in Old Gridania. Players will need to locate Jihli Aliapoh and have completed one of the Envoy main scenario quests in order to take part. Interestingly, the developers have decided to vary the event decorations from city to city.
Ul’dah will feature Little Ladies’ Day décor while Gridania will be decked out in Hatching-Tide eggs. Limsa Lominsa and residential areas will start out with Little Ladies’ Day decorations on March 14, when the event kicks off. These decorations will change to Hatching-tide decorations on March 22 and they will remain that way until the event ends on April 1.
As for rewards… there’s just the one. This year players will receive the new Peatie mount. That’s a pink Goobbue.
On an additional note, if you’re one of the folks who feel Endwalker’s relic weapon grind was a little too easy, the Final Fantasy XIV team has heard the complaints. According to an interview in Play Magazine (shared by Games Radar), Yoshi-P said that he “[appreciates] that some people do say that it’s too easy in Endwalker, but on the other hand, generally, players are playing many jobs on a single character.” He goes on to state that even though the weapon is easy to make, it helps those trying to obtain the weapons on multiple jobs.
That said, they’ll be looking into it. Just don’t expect to have the original Zodiac weapon grind back, despite the fact they understand it makes some players feel more rewarded. They’ll come up with something, we're sure.
