MMOBOMB
Apr 12, 2024
The launch of Gigantic: Rampage Edition has not gone as smoothly as Abstraction Games would have liked. It seems the MOBA was met with server issues almost immediately upon launching on the 9th, and the dev team has been working to fix things for everyone since then.
Several tweets from the developers since the launch on April 9 have informed players that they are aware of server issues and are working to fix them. The first notes that the Asia server was down and there were crash issues on the PS5. Both were being investigated.

Follow-up tweets continued to state that the devs were working on resolving the issues, with one noting that they had discovered the issue with the Asia server and were working on it. They even re-deployed later in the day. Unfortunately, the issues continued to carry over throughout yesterday, during which the team continued to roll out fixes and promised a compensation package for everyone.
🚨 Gigantic Players! 🚨 We hear you loud and clear! Our team has been hard at work fixing the server issues. Stay tuned for more updates today. We're also prepping a compensation package for everyone to make up for lost time. Thank you for your support!https://t.co/CweVIlHwpc pic.twitter.com/KSm5bliuxu

It’s unclear as to whether things were completely fixed yesterday, but another update today did warn players about a quick disconnect. According to the tweet, players would be allowed back in immediately after being booted. Hopefully, things are fine at this point.
As for the compensation packages, the team hasn’t specified what that will entail – probably because they’ve been busy trying to get the servers to behave.
