Microsoft Is Bringing 23 Contracted Workers On As Unionized Full-Time Employees

Microsoft is bringing 23 contract workers on as full-time employees, with others receiving raises and sick days according to Bloomberg.

This news comes in the midst of Microsoft being in active talks with the CWA and ZeniMax Workers United, a group of 77 contract workers who have voted to unionize in order to negotiate better working conditions.

The 23 being brought on full-time will receive 22% wage increases, while the remainder will receive a $2.75 hourly raise, as well as paid sick days. 

"We look forward to continued good faith negotiations as we work towards a collective bargaining agreement," Microsoft Vice President Amy Pannoni told Bloomberg in an emailed statement.

Microsoft has been in negotiations with the ZeniMax Workers United group since April.
