Alongside Far Cry 7, the team at Ubisoft also appears to be working on a Far Cry multiplayer extraction shooter according to Insider Gaming.
Set in a fictional Alaskan wilderness called Alashnica, the story of the game revolves around being lured into the wilderness with the promise of freedom, only to discover that the land is in chaos.
The Far Cry extraction shooter will center around gathering materials to survive. Players will level up by completing contracts and will receive perk points on level-up. The game features permadeath where you will lose everything except what is stored in your Hideout.
While dates are always subject to change, Insider Gaming reports that the Far Cry extraction shooter is slated to arrive before Far Cry 7, and could see an alpha test as early as the first half of 2024, with a release window currently set for April 2025.
