Overwatch 2 Season 7 Brings Reworked Kit For Sombra, Rise Of Darkness Event, And More

Overwatch 2 Season 7 lands on October 10th, and with it comes lots of updates to the shooter including a Sombra rework, a new map, and the Diablo crossover event where players take on Lilith.

Participate in an all-new survival brawl, Trials of Sanctuary, where you will take on the Blessed Mother Lilith Moira. Choose one of six different heroes: Demon Hunter Sombra, Barbarian Zarya, Night Raven Illari, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperious Reinhardt, and Inarius Pharah. You'll be facing an onslaught of forces in a fierce battle for survival.

Overwatch 2 is also bringing in one of its most complex maps. Samoa is a new control map where you'll fight on tropical beaches, villages, and even inside a volcano.

Sombra is hitting the battlefield with a reworked kit, with the goal of making her more committed to the targets she engages with. She should have a more active feel to her kit while maintaining her identity as the world's greatest hacker.

The Route 66 Escort Map is also getting some changes, opening the options a bit for attackers who were previously struggling with chokepoints on the map.
