We’ve got new information for you all in regards to Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.
The crowdfunded MMORPG is adopting a seasons-based development schedule starting February 17. This marks a departure from the previous model where only high-tier pledges had regular access to the game. Under the new approach, all pledges — even a $50 one — can access the game during development during each six-week season.
However, there’s a caveat; VIP pledges get full-time access, Champion-tier pledges get two weeks, and Supporter-tier pledges get one week of access per season. According to the developers over at Visionary Realms, the goal is to involve a larger player base in the development process.
The purpose is to generate additional funding for the game's development and to engage existing pledges in a live environment, collecting valuable data and feedback. These seasons, scheduled every six weeks with a new chapter starting every three seasons, are designed to bring regular and meaningful content updates. And it all begins with Chapter 1, Season 1: "Into the Pass" on February 17.
This update specifically introduces players to the overland areas of the zone Avendyr’s Pass, filled with new enemies, quests, crafting opportunities, and exploration sites. The content spans ruins, caves, a village, camps, and secrets, with the added feature of a new pet system Phase 1 — allowing players to test a wolf pet for the Shaman class. This season runs until March 29, with Chapter 1, Season 2: "The Mouth of Madness" set to launch on March 30.
