Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis M.A.R.S. Action System Will Introduce Ability To Use Powerful Armaments For A Limited Time

On July 31, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will introduce a new way to play. Titled M.A.R.S., this new action system grants players of the MMORPG access to actions that make use of powerful armaments for a set amount of time during battle. These armaments are made usable by completing a main task and each has different features. One example given by the devs is the VA-2MRM Nidhogger, which has a primary attack main armament and a sub-armament for support.

Players will also earn M.A.R.S. Updaters from quests and tasks that can be used to learn special skills, unlock actions, and boost stats.

The system also adds new time-limited tasks and Title Tasks. Among these is the limited-time quest: M.A.R.S. Training Center. This provides players with a way to practice without time limits. Of course, there are no rewards for this one either, but players will still want to get that practice in if they’re to take on the new Aelio Combat Sector Ranks and Crimson Realm, as well as new, more powerful enemies.
