Ready to sink your teeth in?
V Rising officially launches today on PC, leaving Early Access almost two years later as the vampire survival and crafting RPG enters Version 1.0. Players take on the role of vampires striving to conquer both the mortal world and each other through crafting, base-building, and strategic survival mechanics. The update promises significant additions and introduces Dracula's fallen kingdom, Mortium — a zone where players will battle remnants of the vampire king's legions.
The entire game world has received updates, including reworks of old zones and new atmospheric enhancements like a new light engine. There’s also three difficulty levels: Relaxed, Normal, and Brutal. Additionally, players can also look forward to learning dark sorcery and wielding new weapons such as whips and bows. They can even attain the ability to transform into a giant spider.
V Rising has added a crossover with Castlevania as well, featuring Simon Belmont (as an enemy, of course).
Before you start playing though, please note that the developers over at Stunlock Studios have reset all official servers as well. If you want to play on an old save, you’ll need to play on the old patch. A Steam branch has been made available for those wanting to do so…but you can’t access new content there.
