MMOBOMB
Oct 05, 2024
Today, at the Tokyo Game Show, Digital Extremes hosted the September Warframe Devstream, offering players a look at what’s to come for the game. Among the announcements on the stream was the awaited release date for the MMO’s next update, Koumei & the Five Fates. The update, which introduces the game’s 58th warrior, Koumei the dice-maiden, is slated to drop on all platforms on October 2.
The new Warframe was showcased on the stream as well, highlighting her RNG-inspired ability kit. She was created in conjunction with Sumo Digital. Also introduced in this update is the new “Shrine Defense” mission type, which pits players against an Infested mini-boss named Infested Oni. Of course, there are quality-of-life improvements as well.
In additional news, a Warframe: 1999 demo will be available to players on all platforms on October 16. To access the demo, Warframe players need to complete the Awakening and Vor’s Prize tutorial quests.
The team is also working on cross platform gifting and trading on all platforms and a future graphics update to go with the PS5 Pro launch.
