Mecha BREAK, the upcoming mech-combat game developed by Amazing Seasun Games, got a little time to shine during tonight's The Game Awards live show. While the team did drop the game's lore trailer last week, as if you needed lore as an excuse to blast things away in a mech, one thing that has been sorely missing from all Mecha BREAK press releases is a release date...or hell, even a release window.
That changed on tonight's show when the team announced that Mecha BREAK will release in Spring of 2025.
In addition to the launch announcement, Mecha BREAK debuted a new trailer that reveals a whole new look at the extraction game mode coming to the title. Seasun Games even revealed a few new features coming based on player demands, like weapon swapping.
Speaking of players, there seems to be a lot of them as eager as I am to customize a mech as Mecha BREAK has blown past 1 million wishlists on Steam, sits at #15 amongst wishlisted games, and recently boasted over 50K players during their open beta. The team is quick to point out that that 50K mark is the same mark Marvel Rivals had on its way to a launch that saw over 10 million players in three days.
I think it would be a stretch to think Mecha BREAK will come anywhere close to Marvel Rivals numbers, but that doesn't mean the game can't do well. We'll just have to wait until Spring to find out for sure, though.
