The first patch for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is here.
Today, several critical issues in the horror game will be fixed. Players won’t experience stuttering on PC anymore when running the game on Ultra graphics settings, which also resolves FPS drops during combat. Additionally, a voice chat problem in party lobbies is being rectified, ensuring uninterrupted communication among party members. Another fix addresses an XP progression bug where players would falsely rank up after matches despite not earning the necessary XP.
Furthermore, key rebinding is now available for the PC version. Lobbies will also launch with a minimum of 6 players to provide quicker game starts. Quick Match has been prioritized in the menu, facilitating faster matchmaking and fuller lobbies. However, temporarily, PC players will be separated from the console player base in cross-play to enhance anti-cheat measures. The patch also brings improvements to Easy Anti-Cheat and overall anti-cheat systems, including better tracking and detection of cheats.
Lastly, the announcement hints at an upcoming second edition of The Muerto Times, promising to reveal more about the team's plans and future developments.
