The World's First Race Is On As Destiny 2's The Final Shape Gets Its First Raid

Sure, the launch of Destiny 2's The Final Shape expansion came with more than a few issues (and some fun error codes), but that isn't stopping the looter shooter from kicking off the first raid of the expansion today. In fact, the world first race is already underway.

If you own the expansion, your team can start racing through the new challenges that await your fireteam in The Pale Heart and you get to take on The Witness. Should you manage to clear it ahead of every other fireteam in the world, there's rewards waiting for you. Hell, there's even rewards available for any group that finishes the raid's challenges by December 31st.

Get in on the fun by watching the progress of competitors over on the Twitch Rivals stream. 

Salvation's Edge's Contest Mode is now up and will be so for 48 hours. The first fireteam to complete the raid will, of course, become immortalized on the championship belt and score some custom fireteam artwork by Ohlac.

Completing the raid under certain timing conditions will allow players the opportunity to buy the Salvation's Edge jacket and raid pin, and you can snag some in-game titles.
